Runedarské doly od nepaměti zásobovaly zlatem celé generace trpaslíků. Dnes jich zůstala jen hrstka, která střeží pevnost kolem vchodu do starého, vyčerpaného dolu... nebo se to alespoň myslelo. Tato skupina trpaslíků měla to štěstí, že náhodou narazila na novou žílu nejčistšího zlata a podařilo se jí vytěžit malé jmění. Bohužel právě ve chvíli, kdy se chystali vyrazit do bezpečí nejbližší pevnosti, zjistili, že stará pevnost Runedar je obklíčena orky, kteří jsou ochotni udělat cokoli, aby se dostali k drahému kovu. Trpaslíci teď musí nejen bránit pevnost, ale také vykopat tunel pod horou, aby unikli a dostali své těžce vydobyté zlato do bezpečí.
The Siege of Runedar je kooperativní hra pro 1-4 hráče, kteří se ujmou role trpaslíků pověřených obranou hradeb Runedaru a pokladu, který se v nich nachází.
