The second edition of the game War of the Ring is widely recognized as the best strategic board game based on the works of J. R. R. Tolkien and provides the best gaming experience set in Middle-earth. The Anniversary Edition of War of the Ring, which was produced in a limited number of copies, included a larger game board and players requested that a similar board be offered as a regular product.
The company Ares Games went a step further and now produces the official War of the Ring Deluxe Game Mat, a giant neoprene playmat (laser-cut, measuring 128 x 88 cm) with an enlarged playing area, for easier gameplay, printed on high-quality folding material. This beautiful playmat features an amazing depiction of Middle-earth by John Howe created exclusively for the game War of the Ring.
The game mat provides a playing surface similar in size to the game board of the Anniversary Edition, which is 50% larger than the standard game board included in the 2nd edition.
With this luxurious gaming accessory, players will have a durable game board with even more space for maneuvering with the 205 miniatures used in the game.
