Now "Close Encounters" will transform more than 32 cardboard figures and tokens from the base game ISS Vanguard into plastic miniatures. Each encounter, from ships to mission equipment (e.g. bases) to aliens, will be visualized in 3D. This enhances the immersive aspect of the game and is purely aesthetic. It does not affect the game mechanics or expand them in any way.
