Save the innocent souls from the royal dungeons!

In the castle dungeons, 12 convicts await their fate, even though their guilt is more than questionable. In this expansion for The Castle Nine, you’ll embark on a dangerous mission to infiltrate the prison and rescue the innocent souls the vile king is holding captive in time. New characters await you, such as the Empress, the Plagiarist, or the Junk Dealer, who will bring a breath of fresh air and new strategic possibilities to your games.

The main new feature is the so-called key abilities. These are powerful, one-time effects that you can activate by discarding a key directly from the character card. Timing is key—you can use the ability before the Herald moves, after it moves, or even at the very end of your turn. If you decide not to use the ability, the key remains as a valuable bonus for the final scoring.

New strategic possibilities: 12 new character cards with unique effects.
Key Mechanics: Use a one-time powerful ability, or save the key for points.
Variable Scoring: New paths to victory through combining card values.
Easy Setup: Just shuffle into the base game and you’re ready to go.
