Product detailed description
Kyoto no Koneko features superb illustrations by Jérémie Fleury and artistic direction by Maxime Erceau, who has created a fun object that will be hard to resist.
On the mechanical side, its creator, Kevin Gauvin, has created a competitive memory game to which he has added a personal touch that makes it so charming.
Gameplay
Players will face a 4x4 square of cards, with only pairs of eyes visible, which are supposed to indicate the number of felines they will discover if they decide to turn them over.
On their turn, a player reveals a Mission (cards shaped like cat heads) which indicates the exact number of kittens they must reveal.
The cards in the game depict Pairs of Eyes in the Night on their front (between 1 and 3 pairs of eyes) and cute kittens on their back.
The trick?
The number of pairs of eyes on the front does not necessarily correspond to the same number of kittens on the back.
Some kittens close their eyes, or two kittens blink and stand side by side, forming a single pair of eyes!
This will trap the players around the table, who won't always be able to trust what they see on the front of the cards, and there will be many surprises when the chosen card is revealed!
You'll have to use your memory to complete your mission by remembering, for example, that behind that single pair of eyes are actually four mischievous kittens!
