Product detailed description
Head out into the streets of a cartoon-style metropolis full of whimsical mysteries, humorous situations, and little pranks! MikroMakro Junior 2 is a standalone cooperative detective game designed specifically for younger investigators and family gameplay. On a giant, detailed city map, you’ll work together to follow the clues left by suspicious residents, solve puzzles, and uncover what happened where. The stories are tailored for children—you won’t find any violence in them, just playful mischief and lost items.
The game is designed for 1 to 4 players ages 6 and up. It’s perfect for siblings and for children playing with their parents, who can help younger players by reading the text aloud. Thanks to its simple rules, you can start playing in just one minute—simply lay out the map on a well-lit table and open the case book.
The game is excellent for developing observational skills, logical thinking, spatial orientation, and teamwork.
The spiral-bound detective book features a total of 22 original cases graded by difficulty (marked with stars). You can start with the included tutorial case, Rybářská hučka, and gradually work your way up to the most perplexing challenges. You can take a break at any time or, conversely, move on to the next case, depending entirely on the investigative team’s preference.
- 22 diverse cases with varying levels of difficulty in a durable ring-bound book.
- A giant, intricately detailed city map that tells its own story in every centimeter.
- A cooperative experience where everyone investigates together and helps one another.
- 20 detective markers that make it easy to navigate and mark key clues directly on the map.
- Suitable for children ages 6 and up, with the option for an adult to serve as a reading guide.
Before starting, simply unfold the large map on a well-lit table so that everyone can see it clearly from all sides. The players choose one of their own to be the Chief Investigator. This role can be filled by an adult or an older child, and players can take turns in this role. The Chief Investigator opens the book to the introductory page of the selected case, reads the plot aloud, and shows the others the opening illustration. Then they read the first assigned task—but do not turn the page just yet!
All players set out to explore the map together. The city depicts characters at various times and locations, so the detectives must track their movements with their eyes, connect the dots, and uncover hidden clues. To complete the task, mere guesswork isn’t enough—players must point directly to a specific scene on the map that serves as clear evidence. They can place the included transparent markers on important clues and characters they find so they don’t lose track.
Once the team has an answer, the lead investigator turns the page and checks the correctness of the solution on the next page. If the answer is correct, they read the text aloud to everyone and turn the book to the next related task. If the guess is incorrect, the investigation continues—the investigator who has already seen the solution does not participate in the search but can guide the other players in the right direction with a small hint. In this way, the team proceeds step by step until they solve the final task and close the entire case.
