An ancient threat is awakening in the Vale of Eternity. The dark, cursed tree, the Curse Tree, is breaking free from its slumber, and its pernicious influence is beginning to creep into the souls of the local inhabitants. The Curse expansion brings a completely new and thrilling challenge to this beloved game. You will no longer just summon magical creatures, but you will also have to face the curses that some of them bring with them. These curses gradually transfer from the cards to you and will result in unpleasant penalty points at the end of the game.

Fortunately, you arrive in the valley prepared. Each of you will take on the role of one of eight unique hunters, each with their own special abilities. The hunter boards are also double-sided and can be flipped during the game, thereby changing your strategy and options for dealing with the Cursewood’s infection. You now also have powerful talismans at your disposal. You can either “break” them and use their energy for a one-time discount when summoning creatures, or recharge them to get rid of the curse tokens clinging to you.

The Curse expansion greatly deepens the gaming experience and adds another layer of tactical decisions. Will you try to avoid the curses, or will you embrace their power and try to turn it to your advantage? If you manage to remove the last curse token from a card, the creature becomes “healed,” freeing up space in the play area and earning you valuable points at the end of the game. Dive into a darker and even more thrilling adventure in the Valley of Eternity!

• New Curse Mechanism: Creatures can be cursed, and these curses gradually transfer to you, the player, in the form of negative points.
• Asymmetric Hunters: Play as one of 8 unique hunters with their own abilities that change over the course of the game.
• Powerful Talismans: Use the new talisman tokens to get discounts on summoning creatures or to purge yourself of accumulated curses.
• Healing Creatures: Remove all curses from creatures to heal them and earn extra points for them at the end of the game.
