LEGO® building sets - fun for both kids and adults
In 1934, Danish carpenter and wooden toy manufacturer Ole Kirk Kristiansen combined the two Danish first letters of the word LEG GODT, meaning "to play well", to name this world-famous toy LEGO®. In 1958, he and his son filed a patent application for the bricks, breathing life into the toy of the century with the iconic name.
