LEGO® building sets - fun for both kids and adults
In 1934, Danish carpenter and wooden toy manufacturer Ole Kirk Kristiansen combined the two Danish first letters of the word LEG GODT, meaning "to play well", to name this world-famous toy LEGO®. In 1958, he and his son filed a patent application for the bricks, breathing life into the toy of the century with the iconic name. LEGO® Duplo is the ideal first building set for the youngest children from 18 months. The beautifully coloured Duplo bricks are twice the size of the classic bricks and fit perfectly in little hands. Maximum emphasis is placed on safety. The LEGO® Duplo bricks are rounded and do not contain small pieces, so there is no risk of swallowing.
