DeskovCON 2024
Pack up your family and friends and come to the DESKOVcon 2024 – weekend board game festival in Prague!
9 - 11 February 2024, you can try not only new releases from Czech publishers right in the capital city. You can expect accommodation in the 4* Hotel Duo with excellent hotel full board buffet, well-stocked game rental, bar, lectures, tournaments, and a rich program. In your free time, you can go sightseeing and explore the historic centre of Prague thanks to the metro stop just a 2-minute walk away!
The event will take place at the Hotel Duo (Teplická 492, 190 00 Prague 9) and there will be leading Czech publishers present, including Albi, Blakfire, Dino, Fox in the Box, Rex hry and TLAMA games. At the event you will have the opportunity to have games from these publishers explained and played that you may have missed so far, as well as some games that are still in the pipeline. There will also be vendor booths so you can take your favorites straight home!
Accommodation: in 1/2/3/4 bedded rooms with en-suite facilities. All rooms are in the same building as the festival, the restaurant is even on the same floor. Due to capacity and organizational reasons, it is unfortunately not possible to arrange accommodation for less than the whole weekend. Thank you for your understanding.
Children: After previous experiences and complaints from the participants of the last DESKOVcon, in the interest of undisturbed playing and smooth running of the whole event, only children from 6 years old are allowed to enter DESKOVcon. We hope that parents will understand this decision, as well as other participants will welcome it.
Dogs: Dogs are allowed in the hotel, however, they are not allowed in the festival and dining areas. We therefore recommend that you leave your furry friends at home so that you can fully concentrate on the rich board game programme we have in store for you!
Meals: Breakfast is included in every accommodation package. Full board is available for purchase. All meals are served buffet style with several options, including vegetarian. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance. Small snacks can be purchased on site or a buffet lunch/dinner can be added for a flat rate of 400 CZK/person.
Transportation:The hotel is located about 2 minutes walk from the bus and metro station C - Střížkov and the bus stop Teplická.
Parking: For all guests of DESKOVcon (both accommodated and non-accommodated) parking is available directly at the hotel for 200 CZK/day.
Gym: All accommodated guests have free entrance to the hotel gym during their entire stay. The gym is opet from 7am till 10pm.
Bowling: There is a bowling hall in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.
Festival schedule:
We will be adding details of the program sson, but you can already look forward to tournaments in selected games, workshops, or lectures by Petr Čáslava, Michal Peichl, Adam Španěl, Patrik Hajda and others!
Presentation takes approx. 1 hour. Tournament takes approx. 3 hours.
