HANNIBAL is an asymmetrical, card-driven, two-player game that portrays a classic conflict (the Second Punic War) between two ancient powers (Rome and Carthage) from a purely Clausewitzian perspective (war as a continuation of politics). The players will achieve victory by securing political dominance in the Mediterranean region - they will have to plan and execute military campaigns and deal with various historical events. Created by Mark Simonitch, one of the world's most respected authors, the game has won numerous awards and is continuously ranked among the top 15 war games of all time by the website Board Game Geek.

HAMILCAR is a standalone game in the same box. While it uses similar mechanics to HANNIBAL, it also comes with a naval force system
and exciting naval battles. In this game, set during the First Punic War, the Roman Republic, backed by the might of land forces, will attempt to break through a chain of Mediterranean islands, seize a line of Carthaginian fortresses and defeat the mighty Carthaginian fleet.
