    Ira is devastated by the death of the blacksmith, who sacrificed himself for her in the fight against Ar'vrark the Devourer. Unexpectedly, however, she receives incomprehensible help from a mysterious lone hunter, who appears to be afflicted by a curse as well. But as soon as the flames of the fire revive both Euda and the ghosts from the past of all those present, an attack by a band of Spitters forces the three heroes to leave the fortress that once reliably withstood the onslaught of the Grey Ash. Guided by mysterious dragon runes, they set out for the swamps and the cyclopean ruins of the Sanctuary, where their last hope for redemption mingles with the most painful memories... The fire has been lit! Shadows recede and humanity wavers: the first revelations of truth are already looming in the flames of the second part of this saga set in the official world of DARK SOULS.
