Emergency signal from the abandoned part of the tundra sends the heroes on a rescue mission in the brutal cold. In the wreckage of a starship, haunted by a menacing insectoid stowaway, they find a lone survivor from a feared Swarm: a frozen gas giant creature from the same system where a mutated Swarm colony began to awaken from a strange hibernation.
