Emergency signal from the abandoned part of the tundra sends the heroes on a rescue mission in the brutal cold. In the wreckage of a starship, haunted by a menacing insectoid stowaway, they find a lone survivor from a feared Swarm: a frozen gas giant creature from the same system where a mutated Swarm colony began to awaken from a strange hibernation. Can the heroes boldly infiltrate the floating organic lair to prevent the Swarm from making contact with the great Swarm mind?
"Icebound" is an adventure for the Starfinder Roleplaying Game for four 7th-level characters by Jason Tondra. This adventure is a continuation of the Horizons of the Vast adventure path, a six-part two-month campaign where heroes lead the exploration and mapping of a newly discovered world full of mysteries. This volume also includes an afterword about the Veskarium espionage agency known as Directive-9, technology borrowed from the Swarm, and a selection of deadly alien threats.
