    Thrall, the wise shaman and chieftain of the Horde, sensed a disturbing change. Once upon a time, devastating elementals rampaged across Azeroth - until the kindly Titans imprisoned them on the Plane of Elements. Despite the Titans' intervention, however, many elementals have returned to Azeroth. Throughout the ages, shamans like Thrall have communicated with these spirits, and through patience and determination, they have learned to quell the raging infernos, bring rain to the sun-scorched lands, and generally lessen the elementals' destructive impact on Azeroth. Now Thrall has discovered that the elementals no longer heed the calls of the shamans. While he seeks answers to what ails the bewildered elementals, he also struggles with the uncertain future of the orcs as they face dwindling supplies and the growing hostility of their neighbors, the night elves. The fate of Azeroth's great races is shrouded in a fog of uncertainty and the fickleness of the elemental spirits, and though unsettling, their behavior may be only the first dire warning sign of the coming Cataclysm.
