Product detailed description

Discover the Access+ version of the popular card game Dobble.
The Access+ range of games is specially adapted to support the remediation of cognitive impairment.
Games are a tool to stimulate abilities and help prioritise impressions of joy and shared play.

With larger cards and symbols, the joy of play can truly be enjoyed by all! Choose your level of difficulty, your preferred rules and get playing! Be the first to find the same symbol on your card and on the face-up card. An excellent (and fun) way to strengthen attention and observation skills.

Cognitive features used in Dobble Access+:

Attention and observation:
Three customized variations of Dobble Access+ stimulate players' attention, requiring them to carefully examine the cards in the game. Players must focus and direct their attention on the two cards they are comparing, while ignoring other stimuli. They must also quickly, accurately and strategically examine the visual details (observations) presented.

Impulsivity regulation and flexibility:
Players must take care not to make errors in analysis when quickly viewing cards. Keeping their foot on the imaginary brake so that they do not react too quickly requires regulation of impulsivity. This gives players the mental space to monitor their mental activity, their decisions and their physical actions for optimal results.

Short-term and working memory:
The three customized variations of Dobble Access+ require players to process temporary information in short-term memory. When players view images on one card, they must hold the perceived visual information (or verbal information if they are naming the items they are looking for) in their short-term memory so they can find it on the other card. Their working memory, through repetition or mental visualisation of the images, allows them to relate the information in their short-term memory to what is happening in the game.

Other cognitive functions:
Regardless of the rules chosen, players must regulate their emotions during the game, as not everyone will be able to play at the same pace. This can cause irritation and frustration and lead to rapid mood swings. Players also use their lexical field to access the words that describe the pictures in order to name the phrase. Players with lexical deficits may point to the corresponding symbol rather than name it. And players also use imagination to temporarily hold the observed pictures, sometimes mentally manipulating them to make comparisons. Making these associations can be sped up by scheduling a visual search before the game begins.

By purchasing this game, you will contribute 35 CZK to the NAUTIS Foundation, which helps people with autism and their families.

Christophe Debien - Hospital Psychiatrist:
Playing may not heal, but it undoubtedly calms, strengthens and develops. This is probably why games are one of the many facilitation tools we use every day in our work with patients, whether to stimulate poor memory, improve impaired attention and projection skills or revive motor skills.
The new Access+ range of games not only introduces games suitable for carers and those they care for in a fun way. It brings so much more: it enables games to be used as part of care by adapting and changing them so that everyone - families, therapists and patients - can develop together.
