In the depths of the hellish arenas, where the echo of every step turns into a menacing clang and the air vibrates with the energy of endless war, the Doom Slayer awakens once more to battle. The hex-based catacombs become a chessboard of death, where human fury clashes with a demonic horde. DOOM | Arena Board Game brings the brutal essence of the video game series to the table: fast-paced, bloody, tactical, and relentless—exactly as DOOM fans expect.

The game is designed as “heavy metal speed chess”—fast-paced, competitive, with perfect information, and no hidden cards or tricks. Every move is clear, but its consequences can be fatal. One player controls the Doom Slayer, while the other (or up to three additional players) command the hordes of Hell, creating an asymmetrical yet easy-to-understand battle.

The game is played on a hex map, where units move, attack, and use their unique abilities. The Doom Slayer gradually gains more powerful weapons and combos, while the demons flood the arena with new units to overwhelm him with numerical superiority. The battle takes place over three rounds, with each subsequent round increasing the intensity and pressure on the player—the arena gradually fills with gore effects and becomes an increasingly chaotic battlefield.

The game is available in two editions:

• DOOM (1993) – classic demon lineup and retro style
• DOOM: The Dark Ages – modern bestiary including the Atlans, the Serrat dragon, and other iconic monsters

Both versions use the same rule system; they differ only in visual style and enemy selection.
