In the late 1840s, thousands of pioneers headed for the Wild West in search of wealth and opportunity. Many of these brave souls traveled by wagon through the Sierra Nevada mountains to a place that would soon become the Golden State of California. In Sierra West, you take charge of an expedition and lead a group of tough, well-prepared pioneers. At every turn, you’ll need to demonstrate a clever blend of tactics and strategy.

Sierra West features four sets of special cards and components. You can combine each of them with components from the base game to create a unique game mode. During setup, players choose one of the modes and build a tower of overlapping cards from the corresponding deck. Each mode brings new thematic content, different paths to victory, and interesting changes to the core game mechanics.

In the game Sierra West, you take charge of an expedition and lead a group of tough, well-prepared pioneers. At every turn, you’ll need to demonstrate a clever mix of tactics and strategy.
