Europa, moon of Jupiter. Deep beneath the surface, the oceans teem with alien life. Plants, corals, even unknown fish and larger sea creatures inhabit the intricate passages of the underwater system. Submarine volcanoes heat the mineral-rich water and create perfect conditions for mining. Close beneath the surface, the first colonizer stations are established-fishing, mining, and expeditions provide ample resources for life. Groups of colonizers split up and attempt to make the moon a full-fledged place to live on their own as soon as possible. Gradually, they find mysterious artifacts of unknown origin and valuable materials that move their efforts forward quickly, but at the same time they face natural conditions that can be very treacherous.

The Artemis Project is a dice-moving, engine-building game in which you compete with the planet as well as with other players. Roll the dice and place them tactfully to thwart the progress of other colonizers. Mine minerals and produce energy. Train workers. Embark on daring missions to acquire resources. Will your efforts be enough to survive?
