Ticket to Ride! Europe puts players in the shoes of the builders of the railways in Europe - the bigger the train network they build, the closer they get to victory. Additional points can then be earned for connecting important cities or for having the longest continuous line. All of this is built on simple rules that directly encourage players to compete with their opponents. And that is where the extraordinary beauty of this game is based - there is nothing more satisfying than building tracks at the last minute to take over the longest path from your opponent and prevent them from extending it further.

When you add to the simple rules describing a very fun game a reasonable game time (approximately 45 minutes) and a system that actually works even with two players, you can certainly see why Ticket to Ride won the Game of the Year award in 2004 and why it has sold more than half a million packs worldwide.
