    The War of the Ring is an epic board game in which the forces of good and evil clash in the world of the legendary Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien.

    One player takes on the free peoples of Middle-earth, while the other becomes the Dark Lord Sauron. Players will compete militarily in the game, but the free peoples also have Frodo and his Fellowship by their side, trying to take the ring to Mount Doom.

    The game cleverly utilizes action dice, which determine what players can play. It is one of the highest-rated board games in history, and can be played by two, three, or four players.
