The wooden game set "edible - inedible" is a great educational developmental game for children that develops their understanding, knowledge and imagination. The set includes a plate with a spoon depicted on one wooden mat, a wicker basket on the other mat and 56 wooden plates with colourful pictures of edible and inedible items. All objects are drawn in cheerful colours, but clearly and comprehensibly so that even a small child can recognise them without hesitation. The range is very varied. On the cards with pictures of edible items, children will find fruit, vegetables, sweets, lemonade, ice cream, sausages and other snacks. On the cards with pictures of inedible things there are for example a needle, a key, a clothes pin, a light bulb, a lighter, a pencil and many more. The object of the game is to place the edible items on the plate and the inedible items in the basket. Some cards will push children to explore the world even further. For example, pictures of mushrooms, because some will go on the plate with the edible things and others like the toadstool in the basket with the inedible things. The game also includes 4 black and white templates on which younger children can add wooden picture tiles to play a quick observation game, for example. After playing, the picture tiles can be stored in the resealable linen bag included. This toy is referred to as a Montessori aid. The size of the wooden blocks is 2,5 cm x 2,5 cm.
