New dangers and powerful allies are coming to the city of Cardia. This expansion introduces Guardian cards to your games that fundamentally change the dynamics of every other encounter. Guardians belong to specific factions and offer unique abilities that can completely turn the tide of battle—from adjusting strength in past encounters to manipulating tokens on your opponent’s cards.

Playing with protectors requires deeper planning, as you can only activate their effects if you play a character from the same faction as the protector. For experienced players, the expansion also offers a strategic variant where all protectors are revealed right at the start, opening up opportunities for complex tactical planning many turns in advance.

In addition to the guardians themselves, the box also includes five new locations, such as the Senate or the Sorceress’s Lair. You can shuffle these cards into the deck even if you decide to play without guardians, ensuring even greater variability in your games.
