Objective: pull out the elongated oval entangled in the middle of the puzzle and then return it.

The puzzle is packed with the included instructions in a jute bag. The instructions should not be used when solving the puzzle. This is for solvers who manage to solve the puzzle but cannot return it to its original state. It is also proof that it really can be done. :-)

You can hang the puzzle on the wall as a decoration.

The puzzle is known as "Chinese rings" or "Cardan rings". Surprisingly, this puzzle has only one solution, the length of which depends exponentially on the number of rings. We've never counted it, but apparently if there are eleven rings, you'll spend a whopping 1023 moves solving it! Our version has 6 rings.
