    When Azeroth was young, the noble Titans tasked five great dragon squadrons with protecting the newborn world. Each of the dragon squadron leaders was bequeathed a portion of the Titans' vast cosmic power. Together, these majestic Dragon Facets have pledged to stop anything that threatens the security of Azeroth. Over 10,000 years ago, the betrayal of the mad Black Dragon Aspect, Deathwing, broke the strength and unity of the Dragon Squadrons. Deathwing's final assault on Azeroth - the Cataclysm - left the world tormented. In Maelstrom, the epicenter of Azeroth's upheaval, former Horde Chief Thrall, along with other great shamans, fight to keep the world from being torn apart by Deathwing's attack. But even within Thrall, a battle rages during his new life with the Earthwing, diminishing his normally unbeatable abilities. Of even greater concern is the Twilight Hour - a bleak and terrifying possible future glimpsed by a mysterious green Dragon Aspect named Ysera. To prevent this apocalyptic vision from coming true, Thrall must shake off his doubts, discover his new purpose after leaving the Horde, and aid the Dragon Squadrons of Azeroth as they face the Twilight Aspect.
