    After the Cataclysm, war engulfed every corner of Azeroth. The Horde is hungry for more resources and intends to take advantage of the chaos to invade Ashenvale and strengthen its growing war machine there. The new chieftain, Garrosh Hellscream, is using unprecedented brutal tactics in Ashenvale to subjugate the local territory, crush the night elf defenders, and cripple the Alliance across the world of Warcraft. Unaware of the horrors unfolding in Ashenvale, the legendary night elf leaders, High Priestess Tyrande Whisperwind and Archdruid Malfurion Stormrage, are holding a summit in Darnassus with the intention of accepting the worgen of Gilneas into the Alliance, but not everyone is happy with this plan—led by King Varian Wrynn. When a Highborne is found murdered in the outskirts of Darnassus, Malfurion and Tyrande attempt to prevent further bloodshed and unrest by entrusting the search for the killer to one of the most cunning and experienced night elves – the renowned Warden Maiev Shadowsong. But the events in Darnassus also mean that the Alliance may be powerless to stop the relentless new chieftain Garrosh in his advance into Ashenvale...
