King Louis II. King Ludwig of Bavaria was famous for building extremely eccentric castles. During his reign, he spent all his personal fortune and a lot of borrowed money to realise his fantastic building visions and crazy dreams. Eventually he was declared insane and dethroned, and only a day later he died under circumstances that remain unexplained to this day. The game Castles of Mad King Louis is based on the principle of gradually building magnificent castles. Each player tries to build their castle to best suit the whims of the king. Players act as builders who, in addition to building their castle, offer their services to other players for a fee. Points are earned for how well your castle matches the King's requirements, which are different in each game. Whoever manages to do this the best and gets the most points becomes the winner of the game.
