2 Minutes to Midnight is a fresh game design exploring the Cold War in five-year cycles, starting in 1946 and continuing through nine cycles until 1990.
The scope and depth of the game is unparalleled with any other game for this historical period on the market - it is a detailed simulation of the Cold War including military, economy, politics, and trade, all packaged in a way that hides complexity and allows focus on strategy.
One scenario lasts 1-3 hours up to 6-7 hours for the entire campaign.
The game is highly asymmetric - the USA must deal with presidential elections and national debt, while the Soviets must try to achieve their five-year plan and navigate freedom (or its absence) in the Soviet Union itself, with the risk of the entire communist system collapsing if reforms are implemented too quickly.
