The game's story takes you to the Shadow Moses base, where the terrorist group FOXHOUND has seized a nuclear warhead disposal facility and is threatening to detonate it. Your task is to infiltrate the heavily guarded complex, complete individual missions, and gradually uncover what is really behind the crisis. The game builds on the powerful atmosphere familiar from the video game and works with themes of secrecy, tension, and moral dilemmas that gradually develop throughout the campaign.

The basic pillar of the game is a system of stealth and tactical movement across a map made up of double-sided tiles. In infiltration missions, players try to avoid patrols, use cover, and time their actions correctly to complete objectives without raising the alarm. Direct combat is possible, but often poses a risk that can significantly complicate the situation. Every decision has consequences, and one player's mistake can jeopardize the entire team.

In addition to infiltration levels, the game also offers separate boss missions in which you face iconic opponents known from the world of Metal Gear Solid. These battles differ significantly from the normal course of the game and emphasize cooperation, proper use of equipment, and understanding the specific abilities of each boss.

The campaign is complemented by VR missions that can be played separately and serve, among other things, to unlock new equipment cards, which increases the variability and replayability of the entire game.
