The new edition of Mysterium is designed for 3 to 7 players aged 10 and up. You should allow about 45 minutes for one game. The game will appeal not only to fans of mystery and detective stories, but also to anyone who enjoys creative collaboration and teamwork. It works great for family evenings, with experienced board gamers and newcomers alike.

In the new edition of Mysterium, you will be transported to the ancient Warwick estate, where a group of mediums have gathered on Halloween night. The goal is to contact a ghost who is wandering here, seeking peace for his restless soul. One player takes on the role of the ghost, while the others represent mediums trying to understand the story of his tragic death through visions.

The ghost cannot speak and communicates using illustrated vision cards, which the others must interpret as clues to the combination of character, location, and object. Each medium has their own story, which they try to reconstruct step by step. The game emphasizes teamwork, where individual players must share their insights, discuss possibilities, and advise each other, which promotes intense interaction at the table and builds tension with each new vision. If everyone succeeds within seven rounds, they must work together in the finale to determine which story was the right one—and finally bring peace to the ghost.

The original concept for the game was created by Ukrainian game designers Oleksandr Nevskiy and Oleg Sidorenko. Mysterium was first released in 2015 by French publisher Libellud. Belgian illustrator Xavier Collette and Ukrainian illustrator Igor Burlakov contributed to the illustrations. The new edition was localized into Czech in 2025 and is being released with updated components and revised graphics.
