There’s a bit of chaos in the laboratory. Will you be fast enough to find the right lab creature first? Panic Lab is a reaction game with creatures that sometimes have one eye, sometimes tentacles.

In Panic Lab, the game is played with square tiles arranged in a circle. The tiles show lab monsters of various shapes, colors, and patterns. You’ll also find laboratories and ventilation shafts among them. The goal of the game is clear – based on four rolled dice, find the correct creature.

The lab die plays an important role. It determines which lab the creature escaped from and in which direction it went. Then you just need to find the creature indicated by the remaining three dice (shape, color, and pattern). To make things trickier, ventilation tiles come into play, which the creatures love to slide through. During the game, they can also pass through mutation chambers, changing their color (or even shape or pattern).

The player who finds the correct creature first in a given round earns a token as a point. If a player makes a mistake, they must give a token back. The winner is, of course, the player with the most tokens at the end of the game.

Panic Lab is a cheeky reaction game that definitely won’t let you sit still. What’s nice is that, unlike most reaction games, it’s not based on card flipping. Yet it’s just as universal – playable by adults, children, and players of different ages and experience levels.
