Her final act? A tournament to find her successor—not for knights, paladins or lords, but for the paupers of Brighthelm. Those whose dreams were shackled by misfortune.

    In Paupers’ Ladder, you play as one of these brave contenders. With your loyal bird companion, explore the wild and treacherous land of Brighthelm. Your goal: to learn three of five virtues—generosity, fellowship, bravery, knowledge, and magnificence. Battle monsters, complete quests, gather ingredients for powerful recipes, and uncover the wonders of a richly illustrated world brought to life through a game board and over 400 cards.

    Each turn, you play both your Pauper and your Bird, in any order. Move through regions, explore, and grow. Virtues are earned in different ways—generosity, for example, by discarding gems. The first player to master three virtues wins.
