Satori is the Japanese term that describes enlightenment, a state of no-mind in which one discovers the unique existence of the present, dissolving the past and future that arise from the now. Clarity of thought from a higher perspective.

In Satori, players compete to advance on the path of spirituality. They must guide devotees to different altars where they meditate and pray, as well as monks to the mountains where they seek wisdom and enlightenment, or they can assist the architect in building the great pagoda.

At the end of the game, the winner will be the one who has traveled the farthest on the path of satori, represented by the scoring track.

Satori is a 1-4 player game with great tactical depth. It will be key to recognize the opportunities that open up in each round in the mountains where you will lead your monks in their quest for enlightenment.

Unlike other worker placement games, Satori features a common pool of devotees (workers) divided into three colors. On each turn, you'll take one of these to perform actions on the board, but beware! On your turn, there might not be any devotees of the color you want left, leading to player interaction and worker selection.

Similarly, unlike other games, the Satori board is constantly changing. During the game, players modify and build new actions that allow them to expand their options in the quest to optimize their turn.

Take your monks to pray in the mountains to find enlightenment; this will allow you to perform memorable combos by multiplying your actions per turn. Build on the pagoda to score points at the end of the game or open new altars within the temple.
