Trickerion is a strategic eurogame. Compete as stage illusionists for fame, fortune and the mysterious Trickerion Stone in a 19th century setting!
Trickerion is a competitive strategy eurogame set in a fictional world inspired by late 19th century city life and culture, spiced with a touch of the supernatural.
Players take on the roles of rival stage illusionists, each with their own strengths and characteristics. They strive for fortune and fame in a contest organised by a legendary magician who seeks a successor worthy of the mighty Trickerion Stone - which is said to bestow supernatural powers on its owner.
Using mechanisms of worker placement and simultaneous action selection, the illusionists and their teams of helpers - an engineer, an assistant, a manager and a few apprentices - acquire plans and components for increasingly complex magic tricks, expand their team and prepare the show. In doing so, they visit locations on the main game board, which depicts a late 19th century cityscape.
The performances themselves take place in the theatre in the form of a mini-game with piece-laying, which offers a great deal of interaction between the players. The shows earn their creators fame points and coins depending on what tricks they consist of. Glory points have multiple uses, but also serve as a victory condition - after the seventh round, when the last card of the Show is revealed, the game ends and the illusionist with the most glory points wins.
