Celestian Insidiants are trained to tolerate exposure to null energy, which they use to silence and ultimately slay witches, sorcerers, and other perfidious psykers. While all Adepta Sororitas abhor the witch, the Insidiants take this hatred to the extreme.

Peasant levies are recruited from villages and towns, small settlements that lie outside the towering walls of Cathayan grand cities. These provincial troops are not as well-equipped as the professional armies of the empire, favouring simple weapons such as spears and bows, but they are far more numerous and no less well organised in battle.
Crane guns are long barrelled firearms, often carried by two Nan-Gau soldiers, and fixed to a tower shield for greater accuracy. Used in large numbers, these guns can be utterly devastating. Meanwhile, the iron hail gun is a heavy blunderbuss with a large bore, which causes mass destruction at short range.
Commissar Sebastian Yarrick inspires the common soldiery as few champions of the Imperium are able. He can also tear through his enemies, delivering thunderous blows with his trophy power klaw, mowing them down with his storm bolter, and delivering laser blasts from his ocular augmetic, the so-called Bale Eye.
Commissar Graves and her retinue demand absolute loyalty and devotion to duty. They're cold-eyed killers, always ready to execute soldiers for any perceived failing.
