Čarodějný duel (Wizards Cup) is designed for 2 players who love direct combat, fast-paced games, and exciting tactical thinking. The game lasts about 15 minutes, making it an ideal choice for an afternoon break or a short game during the evening. The recommended age for players is 12 and up, mainly due to the need for strategic planning, reading your opponent's intentions, and understanding the effects of individual cards.

In Wizard Duel, you take on the role of a ruler who assembles a team of six wizards from a deck of eighteen different characters. Each wizard has their own value, element, and, most importantly, magical ability that influences the course of the battle.

Duels are fought according to three criteria: first, the magical ability is evaluated, then the relationship between the elements (similar to rock-paper-scissors), and finally, if the outcome is still undecided, the value of the wizard. You can also strategically rearrange your cards or influence your opponent's preparations using various tricks and abilities that can affect the entire outcome of the duel.

The most interesting part of the game is the system of secret card planning and eliminating wizards, where each round is different and every choice has its weight. The game is played in two winning rounds, so you need to be ready to change tactics and adapt to your opponent.

Čarodějný duelwas designed by Japanese game designer Seiji Kanai, best known as the creator of the highly successful game Love Letter. The illustrations were created by yamamori, who created the simple yet distinctive visual style of the wizards. The game was originally released in Japan under the Jelly Jelly Games label and was distributed in Europe by the French company La Boîte de Jeu. The Czech localization was prepared in 2025 and the game is currently in production.
