Product detailed description
Dobble One Piece will appeal to anyone looking for a fast-paced and easy-to-understand game that can be started in just a few seconds. It’s ideal for families, manga fans, and groups of friends who want to fill their free time with a short but intense game. Thanks to the simple rules, even less experienced players can join in, while speed and concentration will test even the most seasoned players. The game is designed for 2–8 players, the recommended age is 6 and up, and you should set aside about 15 minutes per game. Thanks to its compact packaging, you can easily take it with you on trips, vacations, or to school.
The game is based on a simple principle: there is always exactly one shared symbol between two cards. Your task is to find this symbol as quickly as possible and name it correctly. In Dobble One Piece, you’ll encounter motifs from the world-famous manga, so instead of abstract icons, you’ll be looking for characters and objects like Luffy, Nami, Chopper, or perhaps the Log Pose. This gives the game a thematic feel and will appeal more closely to fans of this adventure saga.
The game includes several game variants that change the flow and objectives of each round. Sometimes you try to collect cards, other times you try to get rid of them as quickly as possible. In every variant, however, the key skill remains the ability to quickly compare symbols and maintain concentration even under pressure from other players. The rules for each mode are explained briefly, so you can easily switch between them and keep the game fresh.
The visual design also plays an important role. Each card features a combination of symbols designed to vary in size and orientation. This means that finding a match isn’t always as easy as it might seem. Even familiar characters from One Piece can give players a hard time, as they appear on the cards in various forms and layouts.
- The fast pace of the game keeps all players constantly on their toes, and each game offers different dynamics thanks to various game variants
- Themes from the world-famous One Piece manga combine familiar characters and items with simple game mechanics
- You can explain the rules in just a few seconds, allowing even complete beginners to jump right in
- The compact tin box protects the cards while making it easy to take the game anywhere
- The variety of five game modes ensures the game never gets boring, even after repeated play
- The short playtime allows you to play multiple rounds in a row or fill a spare moment
- The game sharpens your observation skills, concentration, and quick decision-making without feeling complicated
- Thanks to its universal rules, it’s enjoyable for children, adults, and fans of anime and manga alike
- Interaction between players is natural and brings tension and fun moments with every mistake
- The themed design featuring characters like Luffy and Shanks gives the familiar game a new visual dimension
The Dobble game system was first released in 2009 and quickly spread around the world thanks to its simplicity and versatility. The concept was created by French game designer Denis Blanchot, and Jacques Cottereau also contributed to the game’s mathematical principles. The original publisher is Play Factory; the game was later taken over by the studio Zygomatic, which is also behind themed versions such as Dobble One Piece.
The One Piece-themed variant builds on the success of the entire series and combines the game’s mechanics with the popular Japanese manga by Eiichiro Oda.
