Product detailed description

In Frosted Blooms, you take on the role of gardeners who compete over ten rounds to create the most valuable tulip garden. Each player gradually expands their own landscape using tiles that represent water areas and multicolored tulips. The placement of the tiles is crucial, as their interconnection determines the number of points earned. The game emphasizes long-term planning, where it pays to think several moves ahead and prepare space for future scoring. The garden grows gradually before your eyes, and with each round, it becomes clearer which direction you have decided to take it.

An interesting element of the game is the shared game board with a flower token that determines the selection of landscape tiles. On your turn, you decide whether to take a closer tile or invest coins and move the token further to get a tile that fits better into your garden. This mechanism creates tension between saving resources and striving for the ideal shape or color of flowers. Once you place a tile, you immediately use it to score points with the landscape cards you hold in your hand. These determine which elements you get points for and to what extent, forcing you to adapt your strategy to the current situation.

Another layer of the game is formed by improvements in the form of workers, barns, and windmills, which you place in empty spaces in your garden. Creating these spaces is an important decision in itself, as each improvement has a clearly defined value in the final scoring. In addition, workers bring an immediate supply of coins, which come in handy when selecting tiles. In addition, you can complete tasks that reward specific landscape arrangements or the number of improvements.

It is the combination of ongoing scoring and end-of-game scoring that gives Shimmering Flowers its character and forces you to constantly consider whether to focus on immediate gains or the long-term value of your garden.
