Each booster has its own theme. Just take two packs and shuffle them together to create wild combos and a unique gaming experience that is great for quick play, for long-time fans looking to get back into the game, or for a fun and easy way to learn the game.  

Each set booster contains 12 Magic cards, 1 art card, and 1 token/advertising card or a card from the "List" (a special card from Magic's history or a Universes Within card - found in 25% of packs).

Now "Close Encounters" will transform more than 32 cardboard figures and tokens from the base game ISS Vanguard into plastic miniatures. Each encounter, from ships to mission equipment (e.g. bases) to aliens, will be visualized in 3D. This enhances the immersive aspect of the game and is purely aesthetic. It does not affect the game mechanics or expand them in any way.
